The Challenger SRT Hellcat is either one of those cars you love or make fun of. People either think its the Pinnacle Muscle Car or the fat girl no one wants to talk to at a high school dance. I think we put cars in the wrong buckets. No car/truck ever fits in one bucket. Is it a supercar, truck, suv, luxuary car, econo box, hybrid, electric, exotic, muscle car, track car and on and on and on. I think most cars today can fit into a few different buckets. The most important bucket is the “do you like to drive it” bucket.
The Challenger SRT Hellcat I think it a great looking car and just plain crazy. Its loud, has a 6 speed manual, and just looks angry. All of these things make me happy. I run this blog and also a Social Media Management Company (hrgmedia.com) that helps companies kill it on social media. I’m a car guy that is a also a social media guy. I need a “company” car so my first thought was the Challenger SRT Hellcat. The other cars I thought about are the 2nd Gen Cadillac CTS-V, 2016 Mustang GT350, 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1, Chevy SS, 1986-1987 Buick Grand National, 1992-1993 GMC Typhoon, 1956 Chevy, 1964-1967 Chevelle, or a 1970ish Nova.
So this will be part one of my road to a company car series. You will come with me along the way as I post articles about the process, financing, finding the car, test drives, dealer bullshit, Hellcat mark ups (which I refuse to pay), and lots of fun along the way. Lets have Fun!
